About Whit Hawkins

Hello!

I found my way to photography through an interest in stories.

An alum of Greenwich Country Day School, Taft, and Exeter, I graduated from Haverford College with honors in English and started my career as a writer.

This commitment to finding and sharing the heart of the story quickly drew me to photography and video.

Throughout almost a decade of experience at Greenwich Country Day School as Director of Strategic Communications and Director of Sports Information, my understanding of the power of photography—how it can touch our hearts, open our eyes, hold our memories, and bring us closer together—continued to grow.

Since starting Whit Hawkins Photography, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with wonderful families and inspiring athletes—from middle school athletes to NBA All-Stars. My work has been featured by SLAM Magazine, Greenwich Magazine, and Adidas.

My studio is based in Greenwich, CT, and I regularly travel for photography sessions throughout the US.
